Why soy wax
Soy wax is made from soybeans, so it is a renewable material rather than a by-product of crude oil. It has a lower melting point than paraffin, which gives a slower, cleaner burn. We cover the difference in detail in soy versus paraffin candles.
Jar colours, including frosted black
The Small Candle comes in Clear or Chestnut Brown glass. The Medium Candle is poured in Chestnut Brown. The Large Candle is available in Chestnut Brown, Aqua or Frosted Black, so if you are looking for a black candle, the Large in Frosted Black is the one to ask for.

Personalised candles: custom colours and scents
We pour personalised candles to order. Custom colours and scents are available on request, and our scents and colours rotate seasonally, so message us to see what is currently available before you choose.
Personalised candles come in the same three sizes as the rest of the range. Tell us the size, the jar colour and the scent you want on WhatsApp and we will confirm what we can pour.
How to order and delivery
Message us on WhatsApp at +27 76 244 0421 with the size and jar colour you want, or use the order form on the homepage. We deliver across South Africa only, via Pargo pickup points, from R80. Full details are on the shipping and returns page.
Refills
The glass vessels can be refilled. Clean the remaining wax out with warm water, then message us on WhatsApp to arrange a refill.
Candle care
- On the first burn, leave the candle lit for 2 to 3 hours until the melt pool reaches the edge of the vessel.
- Trim the wick to about 5mm before each burn.
- Burn for a maximum of 4 hours at a time.
- Keep the candle away from draughts.
